School bus transportation routes paused in November will be back in service on Monday, February 5th due to successful bus driver recruitment and training, SFPS announced today, February 1st.

“My congratulations to the Transportation Department for its rapid response to our bus driver shortage. We’re going to be back online on Monday.  I invite our community to welcome our new bus drivers as they take on the important job of safely transporting our students to school. We’re glad to have them on board!” said Superintendent Hilario “Larry” Chavez.

The reestablished routes are:

  • Route 4, serving El Dorado Community School, Milagro Middle School, Santa Fe High School (SFHS) and Mandela International Magnet School transfers

  • Route 6, serving Wood Gormley Elementary, Milagro and SFHS

  • Route 17, serving Milagro, SFHS and Mandela transfers

  • Route 19, serving Atalaya Elementary School, Milagro, SFHS and Mandela transfers

  • Route 20, serving Tesuque Elementary School, Milagro, SFHS and Early College Opportunities High School (ECO)

  • Route 23, serving Chaparral Elementary School, Milagro and SFHS
