Personal injury attorneys Mark and Alexis Breyer, known as The Husband & Wife Law Team, have seen many teachers give their all to ensure kids get the best education possible. As parents of 8 kids themselves, they decided early on to give back to some of these amazing educators.
To show their appreciation for dedicated teachers in our communities, Alexis and Mark Breyer founded The Husband & Wife Law Team’s Teacher Appreciation Program in 2010. The program awards one teacher per month $500 for classroom supplies and includes extras such as a commemorative plaque and a pizza party for their entire class.
As this empowering program grows, Santa Fe Public Schools (SFPS) has embraced the initiative and invited The Husband & Wife Law Team to bring the Teacher of the Month program to New Mexico and honor one of SFPS’s amazing teachers each month. Teachers from elementary through high school are eligible to be nominated.
Mark and Alexis feel strongly about supporting teachers who do so much for their kids. "We have seen so many teachers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to see that our children get the best education they can,” they stated. “So, we decided to give back to some of the most impactful teachers in New Mexico."
